We're snowed in.  I have one egg and 1/2 cup milk left.  What to do for breakfast?  Well, I kinda winged it. I came up with Mango Muffins and Cinnamon Sugar Muffins from one basic batter.

You can do any flavor combination you want with this, so I'll just give you the basics first.  This batter will make 12 muffins. Basic Muffin Batter 1.5 cups all purpose flour 1/2 cup sugar 1.5 tsp baking powder 1/8 tsp salt 4 tbsp wheat germ 1 egg 1/2 cup milk 1/4 to 1/3 cup applesauce 2 tbsp. vegetable oil Mix the dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Holy crap, y'all! This is going to make you want to slap your grandma it is so good. My mom found this recipe from a Southern Living magazine.
