I certainly wouldn't try to steer you away from being a vegetarian, if that's what you desire and it works for you. However, don't feel bad if from time to time you decide to bite into a bit of meat. Frank's grandmother, Nanny, ate meat all of her life (and vegetables too), and lived to the ripe old age of 102 plus 6 months! So Bon Appetit!

Thanks! It's good to know it has been tried and tested. I've been doing some research, and it turns out that there are all kinds of vegetarian substitutions for things I didn't even think about when I gave up meat and have since come to light...like hot wings. I LOVE hot wing sauce. And I will be trying a good substitute very soon. Yum!

Fantastic World Foods makes a great packaged New England vegetarian chicken noodle soup. I'm not crazy about packaged food, but when I'm sick all I ever feel like doing is pouring water and stirring, so this stuff is right up my alley! And it's very, very tasty.
